The Community & Economic Development Department is seeking a Business Analyst to advance the City’s economic development initiatives through data-driven insights, process optimization, and strategic program support, including coordination of the City’s cannabis program. This position is responsible for transforming departmental and citywide data into actionable intelligence that informs policy, improves operational efficiency, and enhances customer experience within development and business attraction processes. The Business Analyst will analyze market trends, support economic development strategies, and manage key data systems. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional analytical capability, strong business insight, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to advance organizational goals.

Salary Range: $90,584.00 - $115,606.40

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
Three years of increasingly responsible experience in business and community development, redevelopment project management, or real estate finance and development.
Training:
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field.
License of Certificate:
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license
