The Impact of this Role:
The Business Process Analyst (BPA) plays a critical role in driving operational effectiveness across OptiMed Health Partners by evaluating, improving, and sustaining business processes that support patient care, compliance, organizational performance and overall business strategy. This role reports into the PMO & IT Governance function and serves as a key enabler of standardized, governed, and scalable operational processes across OptiMed.
Through data driven analysis, workflow optimization, and change management support, this position directly contributes to improved service delivery, cost efficiency, and a consistent experience for patients and employees alike. The BPA will have solid understanding of business process management, change management, and process improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc. This role will analyze current methods, identify inefficiencies, and provide practical, innovative solutions, including mapping AS IS and TO BE workflows, facilitating cross functional collaboration, and supporting change adoption.
What You鈥檒l be Doing:
路 Analyze current business processes, map AS IS workflows, and identify areas for improvement
路 Develop strategic plans for improved processes, including cost-benefit analyses to support these strategies
路 Implement process improvement initiatives and monitor their effectiveness
路 Work with various teams and stakeholders to understand their processes and needs, capturing requirements, and documenting gaps.
路 Utilize statistical analysis and other analytical tools to measure process performance
路 Create TO BE workflows and support operational teams through change adoption.
路 Facilitate training and workshops to educate staff about process improvements
路 Document process changes and updates, ensuring that all relevant parties are informed, and maintain documentation in a centralized repository.
路 Support standardized intake, prioritization, and evaluation of process improvement initiatives in coordination with the PMO
路 Ensure proposed process changes are assessed for governance, compliance, and downstream operational impact prior to implementation
路 Monitor and report on the outcomes and benefits of implemented process improvements
路 Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives, partnering with the PMO to ensure alignment with delivery standards
路 Identify process-related risks and collaborate with the PMO to ensure mitigation plans are integrated into project governance where applicable
路 Ensure processes align with organizational governance, compliance, and quality standards, including SOC 2 and ITIL when applicable
路 Collaborate with PMO to ensure process changes are integrated into project workflows, intake, and reporting where needed.
路 Partner with operations teams to design and evaluate AI-enabled workflow models that improve efficiency, quality, or compliance outcomes
路 Support the development of dashboards and data visualizations that track SLA performance, process health, and improvement outcomes
Who You鈥檒l be Working With:
This role partners closely with operational teams, Compliance, and the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure processes are efficient, well documented, scalable, and aligned with governance standards.
Skills and Experience You鈥檒l Bring to the Table:
路 Proven experience in a Business Process Analyst or similar process focused role
路 Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen
路 Experience analyzing business processes within operational, healthcare, or regulated environments
路 Proficiency creating AS-IS and TO-BE workflow diagrams using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart
路 Experience performing data analysis and using analytical or statistical tools to support decision-making
路 Solid project management skills and experience supporting cross functional initiatives
路 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
路 Certification in Project Management or Lean Six Sigma preferred

Work Environment
This role operates in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that supports flexibility, innovation, and continuous improvement. The role is primarily seated and can be performed remotely. The Business Process Analyst works closely with cross functional partners and may support initiatives that span multiple departments and geographies.
