Overview Of The Role

WestJet is currently seeking a Business Analyst – Corporate Real Estate (CRE). Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Real Estate, this role provides centralized business, financial, and operational support to the CRE function. The Business Analyst plays a key role in enabling the effective delivery of CRE programs, projects, and portfolio management activities through financial coordination, procurement and vendor administration, project and lease support, and workplace experience initiatives. Working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners, the role contributes to improved financial visibility, process consistency, and operational effectiveness across the CRE portfolio.

Key Deliverables Include

  • Financial Coordination & Reporting: Manage invoices, POs, contracts, accruals, and payments; ensure coding, approvals, compliance; support budgets, variance analysis, reporting, and resolve discrepancies with Finance/Procurement/vendors.
  • Financial Insights & Reporting Tools: Prepare and maintain routine/ad hoc reports, dashboards, and summaries to provide visibility into portfolio spend, commitments, and decision-making.
  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Coordinate requisitions, vendor onboarding, contracts, and documentation; act as liaison across CRE, Finance, Procurement, and vendors; maintain accurate records of agreements and commitments.
  • Project, Lease & Portfolio Support: Support capital and operational projects with documentation, financial tracking, and stakeholder coordination; maintain trackers, validate rent rolls, track key dates, and coordinate landlord/vendor payments.
  • Utilities, ESG & Data Tracking: Support utilities management and ESG data tracking/reporting requirements aligned with portfolio and corporate standards.
  • Workplace Experience & Communications: Support internal CRE communications, materials, and updates; assist with workplace programs, vendor coordination, employee feedback, and pilot initiatives.
  • Process Improvement & Business Enablement: Drive standardization and improvements across financial, procurement, and administrative processes; develop scalable tools, templates, and workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Experience And Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business, finance, corporate real estate, facilities management or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in a business analyst, financial coordination, operations, or corporate services role
  • Experience supporting financial processes including invoice management, purchase orders, accruals, and reporting
  • Exposure to procurement processes, vendor coordination, and contract administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and experience with financial systems (e.g., Coupa, JDE) is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills across internal teams and external partners
  • Ability to interpret data, identify discrepancies, and support informed decision-making
  • Comfortable working with multiple systems, tools, and datasets
