The Role

Bottomline is looking for a Paymode Data Analyst to grow with us either remotely or in a Hybrid work environment out of our Portsmouth, NH office!

This position is remote and the person can be based anywhere in the Continental United States (Mountain, Central or Eastern Time Zones preferred)

We are looking for an experienced Paymode Data Analyst to innovate, win, and grow on the Paymode Revenue Operations Team which is a collaborative, exciting, fast-paced group. As a Data Analyst you will leverage your business, analytical, and technical skills to build efficient, effective, and scalable processes, dashboards, insights, and analytics to drive the success of our CRO growth objectives, partnering to deliver analytics for Paymode sales, finance, and leadership teams. You will be accountable for managing analytics and toolkit development for strategic programs across Paymode, as well as key growth initiatives.

How you’ll contribute:

  • Build and manage analytical tools, primarily in Power BI, for tracking for operational management of our payments and spend flows across 600+ payers and 20,000+ vendors.
  • Design analytics playbooks, processes, and enablement materials to increase Account Management and Vendor Sales effectiveness in executing operational activities that ultimately drive client health and growth.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, Vendor Sales and other internal groups to outline requirements and workflows leading to execution to resolve process, resource, and functional bottlenecks within Paymode.
  • Use Power BI to create user friendly UI’s for client facing reports, internal reporting, and storytelling for analysis.
  • Build, manage, and optimize internal-facing deliverables such as training materials, standard operating procedures and how-to documents
  • Own, maintain, support and update critical Paymode dashboards and their associated documentation. Work closely with all levels of users to update reports, fix technical issues and write documentation.
  • Establish, document, and track new Power BI toolkits enabling leadership to effectively manage their team towards achievement of an initiative’s goals
  • Proactively identify client and portfolio-level analytics that will help the Paymode sales teams be more efficient, knowledgeable, and proactive in executing their goals with their prospects and clients.
  • Support leadership reporting on key Operational Analytics on Paymode performance and progress, including sales pipeline, operational connectivity effectiveness, and revenue velocity.

What will make you successful:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly proficient in SQL or other programming languages with the ability to learn SQL quickly
  • Highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong experience with Power BI, including the ability to combine data from multiple sources with Power Query for analysis, reporting and visualizations.
  • Balance multiple priorities and flexible with changes in priority.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of the team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in an analyst role.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to turn insight into action with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work independently in an ambiguous, evolving environment, taking high-level requests and translating them into actionable tasks
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar ERP or CRM data
  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment, taking on a variety of tasks and activities
  • Able to work cross functionally with multiple departments, communicate effectively to multiple levels of the company, and lead training and presentations.
