About the job

Who We Are:

Switch isn’t just a tech company—and we’re definitely not just another staffing agency.

We’re a U.S.-based company founded by healthcare insiders who have lived the chaos of last-minute callouts and staff shortages, we built Switch to bring humanity back to healthcare staffing—without losing the speed, precision, or scale that great tech can offer.

At Switch, technology is just the beginning. We’re a people company with a powerful platform. What sets us apart is our commitment to relationships. Behind every shift filled is a team that understands what’s at stake: continuity of care, patient safety, and provider well-being. That is why we pair our high-performance platform with white-glove customer service and real human support.

We’re reimagining what it means to be a partner in healthcare—blending concierge-level service with cutting-edge tools, and always putting people at the center. If you’re looking to join a company that’s redefining an entire industry, and you want your work to mean something, you have found the right place.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Data Analyst who can sit at the intersection of product, operations, and finance and turn complex marketplace data into clear, decision-ready insight.

This role is not about pulling reports on request. It’s about understanding how a two-sided platform works—providers, facilities, pricing, cancellations, fulfillment, and margins—and building the analytical foundation that leadership relies on to make real tradeoffs.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Leadership to define metrics, uncover drivers of performance, and pressure-test assumptions. You should be comfortable owning datasets end-to-end, writing production-grade SQL, and explaining why something is happening—not just what happened.

What You Will Do:

Marketplace & Operational Analysis

• Analyze supply and demand dynamics across a two-sided marketplace

• Investigate shift fill rates, cancellations, no-shows, time-to-fill, pricing changes, and provider behavior

• Identify leading indicators of churn, reliability, and fulfillment risk

• Partner with Product to evaluate feature impact and behavioral changes

SQL, Data Modeling & Business Logic

• Write complex, performant SQL queries against production relational databases

• Translate messy operational data into clean, well-defined analytical models

• Build and maintain core fact tables, dimensions, and metric definitions

• Validate business logic across multiple systems

Financial & Unit Economics Analysis

• Analyze revenue, margin, and contribution profit at the shift, facility, and provider level

• Support forecasting, pricing decisions, and capacity planning

• Tie operational metrics directly to financial outcomes

• Partner with Finance to reconcile analytics with financial reporting

Dashboards, Reporting & Decision Support

• Build and maintain dashboards

• Create clear, opinionated analyses that answer, “what should we do next?”

• Support ad-hoc analysis for executives and operators without becoming a ticket machine

• Help establish a culture of metric clarity and data accountability

What You Will Need:

• 4+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or analytics engineering

• Advanced SQL skills (Postgres strongly preferred)

• Deep understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts

• Strong grasp of business logic, metric definition, and data quality validation

• Experience analyzing financial data, unit economics, or operational P&L drivers

• Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders

• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Ops, Engineering, and Finance

Nice to Have

Experience working in a two-sided marketplace, logistics, staffing, or gig-economy platform

• Familiarity with Metabase, Looker, Power BI, or Tableau

• Experience with dbt or analytics-engineering workflows

• Exposure to healthcare operations, staffing, or regulated environments

Here’s a few of our many perks:
