Job Classification: Full-Time

Reports To: Director, Business Intelligence

Location: Remote – US based. Must be able to work standard business hours in Eastern or Central Time. Occasional travel required (<10%)

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Data Analyst will support the delivery of TIGER 21’s BI roadmap by creating dashboards, conducting analytical deep dives, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver actionable insight. This role plays a key part in building scalable reporting assets, maintaining consistent KPI definitions, and supporting strategic initiatives such as forecasting, engagement analysis, and self-serve reporting.

The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and excited to bring structure to a fast-moving, high-impact environment. This position offers direct visibility to senior leadership and opportunities to work across Membership, Operations, IT, Marketing, Events, and Finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build dashboards and reports (Metabase) aligned with the star schema and certified KPI definitions.
  • Partner with the BI Director and stakeholders to define reporting needs, document requirements, and prioritize deliverables.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to answer strategic questions (e.g., member drop-off, campaign performance, regional engagement).
  • Work with the data engineer to inform data model structure for optimal reporting and to enable advanced analytics.
  • Support the development of forecasting and cohort models through historical trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT on data quality testing, snapshot logic, and data model validation.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the KPI catalog and business logic documentation.
  • Assist in the training and support of internal users on dashboards and self-service capabilities.
  • Participate in quarterly prioritization and roadmap review processes.

COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS:

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
  • Proficiency with one or more BI tools (Metabase, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Familiarity with data science concepts and machine learning/AI techniques is preferred
  • Experience analyzing marketing, membership, or customer engagement data
  • Comfort working with incomplete or inconsistent data and reconciling across systems
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Experience with dbt and/or Salesforce data is a plus

DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field preferred
  • 5-7 years in an analytical or business intelligence role
  • Experience in a multinational or non-U.S. organization strongly preferred
