Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Data Analyst – Ecommerce on behalf of a large, fast-paced enterprise leader in the digital retail space. This role is ideal for an experienced analyst ready to step into a technically sophisticated environment, working with enterprise-level datasets, tools, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical foundation, experience in e-commerce data, and a deep understanding of performance metrics to help drive business insights and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Ecommerce stakeholders to gather data requirements for ETL development.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources including DB2, Netezza, APIs, and Excel.
- Develop and automate dashboards using MicroStrategy connected to data warehouse sources.
- Build and maintain a fit-for-purpose data warehouse model for Ecommerce analytics.
- Automate recurring ETL jobs and KPI reporting using Python, R, and scheduling tools.
- Create structured datasets for ad hoc reports and performance monitoring.
- Deliver tailored analyses and presentations to business leaders and stakeholders.
- Use statistical and machine learning models to identify trends, patterns, and predictions.
- Employ Google BigQuery ML to assess and forecast customer behavior.
- Define and document data workflows and business processes.
- Troubleshoot data issues in collaboration with Analytics, Marketing, and Product teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Ecommerce data and tools.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts on analytical methods and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data engineering.
- 4+ years of experience programming in Python, R, and SQL.
- Experience working with enterprise-level databases (Teradata, DB2) or cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Looker.
- 3+ years of experience with advanced analytics techniques (regression models, cluster analysis, etc.).
- Proficiency in statistical frameworks and applied data science methodologies.
- Experience in retail analytics and omnichannel strategies is a plus.
- Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and VBA proficiency.
