About The Role
Tidal is seeking an ambitious, resourceful, Finance Analyst to join the finance division of Tidal. This team member will be heavily involved in the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, while being exposed to Executive Committee level initiatives including pricing, budgeting, and planning.
The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent skills with excel worksheets and data manipulation, ambition to improve processes and automate tasks using AI tools, and an ability to confidently interact with senior stakeholders and clients.
What You'll Do
- Own the full accounts payable cycle: Manage end-to-end AP processing, including cash flow and liquidity management, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Oversee corporate spending: Monitor company card usage and T&E reimbursements through Ramp, driving accountability and cost control.
- Lead fund expense management: Prepare, review, and approve expense statements; reconcile payments to vendors and third-party service providers; allocate expenses across funds in line with governing documents and regulatory standards; and track spend against budgets to identify savings opportunities.
- Support monthly and quarterly closes: Contribute to the accounting close process by producing timely and accurate reconciliations and financial reports.
- Deliver insights through reporting: Monitor and analyze accounting data to generate financial statements and performance reports that inform decision-making.
- Contribute to strategic planning: Partner on budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement: Participate in ad hoc projects and spearhead automation initiatives that enhance financial operations and scalability.
Qualifications
- B.A/B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
- 2–3+ years of progressive Finance or Accounting experience, ideally gained within financial services or a top-tier public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred).
- Strong excel and data manipulation skills (vlookup, sumifs, index/match, etc).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Hands-on ERP expertise, with a strong preference for NetSuite experience.
- Proficiency in expense management platforms (e.g., Ramp) and related financial systems.
- Interest in emerging technologies and automation, including AI tools (e.g., OpenAI).
- Knowledge of ETFs and the asset management industry.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and FP&A analysis.
- Highly motivated and adaptable, with the ability to perform under pressure and manage competing priorities.

The Pay Range For This Role Is
70,000 - 85,000 USD per year(Remote (United States))
