Financial Analyst – Investment & Transaction Focus

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 1–2 days remote/week)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive Base + Bonus + Equity

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a high-growth company in the clean energy and energy transition sector to hire a Financial Analyst with a strong investment banking, M&A, private equity, or project finance background.

This is a hands-on transactional finance position supporting capital markets strategy, corporate development initiatives, and complex investment decisions.

You’ll work directly with senior leadership on high-impact financial analysis and execution, gaining exposure typically reserved for more senior roles.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, maintain, and own sophisticated financial models (DCF, three-statement, M&A, accretion/dilution, project finance, scenario analysis).
  • Support deal evaluation, due diligence, and investment underwriting for corporate and project-level opportunities.
  • Conduct market, operational, and financial analysis to inform investment decisions.
  • Prepare materials for the executive team, board, investors, and lenders.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Commercial, Accounting, Engineering, and Corporate Development throughout transaction execution.
  • Analyze capital structure, financing options, returns, and value creation scenarios.
  • Support ongoing strategic initiatives in the energy transition, infrastructure, and project development space.

Who We’re Looking For

Must-Have Requirements:

  • 2–8 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, corporate development, project finance, private credit, valuation advisory, or private equity.
  • Strong modeling abilities: you can build and manipulate models from scratch.
  • Experience supporting transactions, capital markets work, or investment decision-making.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate insights to senior leadership.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, lean environment with shifting priorities.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in energy, infrastructure, renewables, or heavy asset industries.
  • Spanish language skills.
  • Exposure to project finance structures, tax equity, or structured credit.

Candidate Profile

  • Analytical, intellectually curious, and financially driven.
  • Strong commercial instincts paired with technical modeling skills.
  • Comfortable owning processes, solving ambiguous problems, and delivering insights quickly.
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment and brings a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary (aligned to experience within the 2–8 year band).
  • Annual performance bonus.
  • Equity program with long-term upside potential.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous PTO + holidays.
  • Additional perks: parking, phone stipend, professional development support.

Why Apply?

This role is perfect for someone who:

  • Wants to stay close to deals and investment work (not FP&A).
  • Wants access to leadership and meaningful exposure early.
  • Wants to join a high-growth company shaping the future of energy and sustainable infrastructure.

You’ll sharpen best-in-class financial skills, contribute to major strategic initiatives, and accelerate your career in transaction-focused finance.
