Financial Analyst

Inizio Engage is looking for a Financial Analyst who will support the finance department with all the finance/accounting projects, invoicing, project balance sheet reconciliations and other ad-hoc financial aspects of the client experience with Inizio Engage. The successful candidate will hold strong communication, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills. The Financial Analyst role is hybrid and reports to the Financial Controller.

What will you be doing?

• Responsible for the monthly preparation of client invoices and partner with Business Unit Directors, Managers and Coordinators to ensure invoices adhere to Client Contracts, SOW’s and Change Orders for assigned client accounts.
• Coordinate the retention of client MSAs, SOWs, purchase orders, and track billings against purchase orders.
• Establish trust and credibility with clients and team members by quickly and accurately responding to their needs, always following up and following through, and delivering quality work.
• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP/IFRS for revenue recognition, accrued/deferred income, and expense accruals.
• Assist in preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the business unit.
• Prepare monthly project reconciliations for clients.
• Ensure variable expenses are reconciled and billed to clients on time.
• Assist to improve project financial profitability by recognizing and informing the Controller on variances, Identifying trends and recommending ideas for margin improvements.
• Assist, manage and resolve assigned clients’ outstanding & aging A/R collections.
• Assist with preparation of annual client budgets and monthly forecast.
• Assist in internal and external audits
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What do you need for this position?

• Bachelor’s Degree required with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant finance experience.
• Fluently Bilingual in English and French (oral and written).
• Strong problem-solving skills, results driven and strong desire to succeed.
• Experience with billing to contracts, budget estimates and assembling periodic reconciliations to billing.
• Strong interpersonal skills and work collaboratively across various levels of management.
• Strong organizational, time-management and planning skills to establish priorities and utilize available resources to meet strict deadlines is a must.
• Perform duties with high-level of detailed orientation, responsibility and minimal supervision.
• Advanced Excel skills (Data Analysis) - (V-Lookup’s, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP Finance system.
• Displays flexibility in adapting to organizational growth and change.
