Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst for our Houston, Texas office to support our oil and gas development project with a particular focus on exploration of Alaska’s North Slope. The ideal candidate must have financial analyst experience, an understanding of upstream oil and gas exploration, and strong analytical skills. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will perform financial analysis and modeling and contribute to Pantheon Resources’ mission of delivering outstanding shareholder returns through operational excellence and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial analysis, including valuation assessments, financial modeling, and scenario analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Enhance financial performance by assisting in the development of budgets and forecasts, preparing financial projections, and analyzing variances
- Support capital market activities including preparation of materials for investor and stakeholder briefings
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, including management and the Board of Directors, as well as external investors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Assist with special projects by providing data-driven insights and actionable recommendations
- Generate, interpret, and analyze financial reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Utilize advanced Excel capabilities to automate financial tasks, manage large datasets, and improve reporting efficiency
- Support the budget process, including preparation, and review of financial plans
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a quantitative, finance-focused role such as investment banking, consulting, private equity, or corporate finance
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools is a plus
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and high-quality work
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial insights and recommendations effectively
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
