Support the Numbers That Drive the Business
As a Financial Analyst, you will provide financial and analytical support to ensure accurate reporting and processing of Vendor Income activities, including collections, rebates, allowances, and vendor management programs. You will also support month-end close, planning and forecasting, and a range of ad hoc business requests. Led by the Manager, Vendor Income, this opportunity suits a detail-oriented finance professional with strong Excel skills who enjoys balancing hands-on accounting with analytical problem-solving and working with detailed financial data.
Please note: This is a 16-month term position.
Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here’s how:
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for various supplier allowances and non-compliance fines.
- Run regular recurring processes to support monthly close activities, as well as quarterly and year-end reporting.
- Collaborate with the vendor income team to assist with performing analytical reviews of allowance collections and assist with tracking and collection of allowances.
- Participate in annual planning and monthly forecasting with respect to supplier funding and vendor rebates.
- Identify, assess, and communicate issues or opportunities affecting profitability and/or overall efficiencies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend changes that will improve the company’s financial performance.
- Comply with all internal controls and other relevant accounting standards and policies.
- Additional ad hoc projects as assigned by Management team.
We’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation (completed or in progress) is an asset.
- Three years’ experience in a finance-focused role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts; retail accounting experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including exceptional skills with Excel and other analytical tools. Knowledge of Oracle or related large ERP system an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence decisions to profitably drive the business.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle confidentiality.
- Strong analytical, organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities with ease, while continuing to meet deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
- The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.

- The expected starting salary range for this role is $68,400 - $89,800; the final offer will reflect relevant skills and experience.
