A diversified trading firm with decades of experience is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Financial Analyst to support its Commodities team. This role provides strategic financial insights, complex data analysis, and supports senior management in decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely and accurate financial analysis, including variance analysis and reporting.
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and performance management systems to monitor and improve business performance.
- Create detailed expense forecasts, tracking performance against projections and recommending corrective actions.
- Analyze costs and identify savings opportunities to improve operating efficiency.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support strategic initiatives and projects.
- Prepare and manage internal allocations for trading support personnel.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Procurement, HR, and Project Management to ensure alignment of financial and business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, public accounting, or financial reporting.
- Strong financial and quantitative skills, with expertise in managing complex data sets.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights for business decisions.
- Highly motivated with strong time-management and prioritization skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working across departments.
