Role- Healthcare Data Analyst (HEDIS)

Location: Sacramento, CA (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Data Analyst. This role will contribute to building and enhancing a groundbreaking Medicaid data platform. If you have strong healthcare analytics experience, particularly in HEDIS, Health Quality, and PHM, this is an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful, large-scale public sector healthcare transformation.

🔍 Role Overview

As a Healthcare Data Analyst, you will design and deliver advanced analytics solutions, develop dashboards and ad-hoc reporting, and support data-driven decision-making across PHM services. You will play a critical role in ensuring data integrity, compliance, and performance optimization while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

💡 Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex database structures, validation controls, and security protocols
  • Develop and manage dashboards, ad-hoc reports, and analytics documentation
  • Apply data modeling and analysis techniques to enhance performance and efficiency
  • Monitor database standards and recommend improvements aligned with business and market needs
  • Investigate and resolve complex data and system-related issues
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
  • Collaborate with clients to understand data requirements and resolve discrepancies
  • Support training initiatives related to data modeling and database structure development

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of experience in data analysis or programming
  • Experience with data administration, data warehousing, and repository management
  • Strong experience in Population Health Management (PHM), HEDIS, and Healthcare Quality analytics
  • Experience collecting and reporting HEDIS data from claims, medical records, and EHR systems
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar analytics tools
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools
  • Knowledge of database security, authentication, and data governance frameworks
  • Experience working with relational databases and healthcare data platforms
