We are seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to support our team at FieldTurf, a world leader in artificial turf with over 25,000 installations worldwide. Trusted at every level, FieldTurf is at the surface of NFL and MLS stadiums, renowned collegiate programs, elite high schools, and local community venues. Reporting to Financial Director, the Junior Financial Analyst will support project financial performance across North America by analyzing margins, budgets, and variances, while partnering closely with Project and Construction Managers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to build strong analytical skills, gain exposure to project-based operations, and contribute to process improvements in a growing, evolving environment. This role follows a hybrid schedule based out of the Montreal Office.

What You’ll Do

Project Financial Analysis

• Support month-end reporting by preparing and reviewing project margins
• Partner with Project Managers and Construction Managers to ensure accurate financial data
• Monitor project budgets and flag risks or variances
• Assist with variance analysis and contribute insights for Monthly Business Reviews
• Maintain and update recurring financial files and datasets

Financial Planning & Reporting

• Prepare daily sales reports and track performance against forecasts
• Investigate variances and provide actionable insights
• Support forecasting and budgeting activities

Ad Hoc & Cross-Functional Support

• Assist with audit requests (internal and external)
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Pricing, Tax, and IT on various initiatives
• Contribute to sales commission calculations

Process Improvement & Tools

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting
• Support automation and data quality initiatives
• Leverage tools like Excel, Power BI, and other technologies to enhance efficiency

What You Need For Success

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 1+ year of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or project accounting

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to identify trends, variances, and key drivers
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Effective communication skills (English, written and spoken)

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Interest in learning data and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Query, automation tools)
• Open to challenging the status quo and improving processes
• Adaptable and comfortable with change
