Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced market analyst with a proven track record in the aviation or travel industry to drive informed decision-making and support revenue growth by combining data analysis with effective sales support, enabling the airline to maximize market performance and strengthen customer relationships.

The role is primarily focused on supporting sales operations across travel agencies and corporate accounts, with a strong emphasis on data analysis, contract management, and compliance monitoring.

The Sales Support role encompasses a broad range of analytical, contractual, and operational tasks. Below is a comprehensive overview of the primary duties associated with this position.

Revenue Analysis – Analysis of Sold and Flown Revenue as well as Market Share performance, providing actionable insights to the sales team and management.

Contract Management - Drafting and managing contracts with Travel Agencies and Corporate clients, in accordance with the framework defined and agreed upon by the Sales Manager.

T&C Clarification - Clarifying doubts and queries related to the Terms & Conditions of agreements with agencies and corporate accounts, ensuring full understanding and compliance.

Sales Cost Control - Monitoring and controlling sales commission costs, including forecasting for back-end incentive programs, ensuring budget alignment and cost efficiency.

Target Agency Definition - Defining target agencies in line with current commercial guidelines and strategic priorities set by the regional sales leadership.

Industry Benchmarking - Ongoing benchmarking of commercial practices across the industry to identify opportunities and ensure competitiveness in the market.

Pricing Strategy - Oversee the development, validation, and implementation of private fares, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with commercial strategy. Manage the timely loading and maintenance of private fares across distribution systems, ensuring compliance with internal policies, market conditions, and contractual agreements

Compliance Monitoring - Monitoring waiver parameters relevant to Auditors compliance analyses, responding to queries from auditors to assist in resolving ADM (Agency Debit Memo) disputes.

Performance Analysis - Analyzing agency and corporate performance for back-end incentive programs, providing data-driven recommendations to support commercial decisions.

Salesforce Support - Providing support to the Agency Help Desk related to Salesforce CRM, assisting with queries, data management, and platform-related issues.

 Key Skills

Strong analytical skills

Advanced proficiency in Excel and analytical tools

Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce

Strong commercial awareness and understanding of airline distribution channels and North America market

Attention to detail and data accuracy

Strong communication and presentation skills, Portuguese language skills a plus

Excellent project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of sales support and market analysis experience in the aviation, airline, or travel industry.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Based in Newark, NJ with hybrid work flexibility.
  • Occasional travel within North America and to Lisbon may be required.

Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000 per year
