This is a mid-level position within the Brand & Communications Strategy team with a core responsibility of executing and analyzing primary and secondary research projects across brands within the agency. Successful Market Research Analysts at Rain have 3+ years of experience with market research tools and database analysis and are ready to further develop their skills in research analysis and insight generation.
What does the Market Research Analyst do at Rain?
- Conduct primary market and consumer insights research using survey, focus group, and individual interviewing methods: including designing, editing, and managing consumer survey tools; ensuring response rates and data collection completion within project timelines; understanding factors affecting validity of results; analyzing data using innovative statistical techniques; and interpreting findings.
- Collate and analyze third party datasets to identify key findings, helping inform client creative and media strategy (market overview, competitive intelligence, target audience profiling, etc.).
- Package and present analytical findings and communicate (both written and verbal) complex concepts to general marketing and business audiences.
- Project coordination skills including maintaining relationships with clients and vendors, facilitating research team meetings and logistical support, and providing as-needed support to the research team.
- Utilize AI platforms to increase manual process expediency
What makes a great Market Research Analyst at our agency?
- 3-4 years’ experience
- Bachelor's degree: in market research, statistics, marketing or communications a plus
- Master's degree in relevant field a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience conducting market and consumer insights research (required)
- Experience using Qualtrics, Fortsa or other online survey platforms (required)
- Experience with programming a plus (e.g., R, Python, SQL)
- Previous advertising agency and/or market research firm experience a plus
- Impeccable oral and written communication skills
- Ability to learn and thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced remote team and technology environment
