About the job

The Marketing Analyst bridges the gap between the Data Intelligence team and Digital Strategists by transforming complex marketing, web, and CRM data into clear insights and actionable recommendations. This role plays a critical part in onboarding new clients by analyzing historical marketing performance, interpreting advanced measurement outputs such as Marketing Mix Models (MMM) and incrementality tests, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with strong storytelling skills and is comfortable presenting insights directly to both internal stakeholders and client teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Onboarding & Discovery
    • Analyze historical client data from paid media platforms, CRM systems, Google Analytics, and other relevant sources to identify performance trends and opportunities.
    • Partner with Digital Strategists to develop data-driven onboarding deliverables that inform media planning, forecasting, and early strategic recommendations.
    • Support client-facing onboarding conversations by clearly articulating key performance insights and answering data-related questions.
    • Assess gaps in client data infrastructure or tracking and provide recommendations to improve measurement fidelity.
  • Reporting, Analysis & Insight Generation
    • Synthesize marketing data into clear, compelling dashboards, presentations, and narratives for both internal and client audiences.
    • Evaluate performance across channels (paid, organic, website, CRM) to surface patterns, anomalies, and strategic implications.
    • Translate results from MMM, incrementality testing, attribution analyses, and other advanced measurement frameworks into plain-language insights and recommendations clients and internal teams can act on.
    • Participate in client calls to explain findings, answer questions, and provide context that supports strategic direction.
  • Strategic Partnership
    • Serve as an embedded analytics resource for Digital Strategists, helping them derive insights and shape data-backed strategies for clients.
    • Contribute to quarterly and annual strategic planning by bringing forward measurable opportunities for growth or optimization.
    • Support test-and-learn strategies by helping design, track, and interpret marketing experiments.
  • Internal Collaboration & Enablement
    • Work across teams (Paid Media, SEO, Data Intelligence, Client Service) to ensure consistent and accurate interpretation of performance data.
    • Identify repeatable insights, frameworks, and templates that improve strategic storytelling across the division.
    • Present findings to client teams and senior leadership with clarity, confidence, and a strategic mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfort interacting directly with clients, presenting insights, and fielding data-related questions.
  • Working knowledge of paid media metrics, web analytics, and CRM funnel performance.
  • Familiarity with advanced measurement approaches such as MMM, incrementality testing, attribution modeling, and experimentation frameworks.
  • SQL experience required (proficiency strongly preferred, but not an expert-level role).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex results to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort working in a remote, collaborative environment and learning new tools/platforms as needed.
  • High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Marketing, Analytics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing analytics, paid media analysis, digital strategy, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics (GA4), paid media reporting (Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn, etc.), CRM/enrollment funnel data, and data visualization tools (Looker Studio preferred).
  • Experience working with media mix modeling, incrementality testing, or similar advanced measurement programs is a strong plus.
  • Experience presenting to clients, stakeholders, or leadership audiences.
  • Experience in higher education marketing is a plus but not required.
