Position Summary
The Senior Analyst Benefits supports all aspects of benefits programs, budgeting, and communications. This Senior Analyst tracks and analyzes the overall Benefits budget, provides the Benefits teams with evaluations of program efficacy, utilization, and costing, serves as a liaison between teams (internal and external), leadership and Crewmembers and creates a roadmap to achieve goals. The Senior Analyst also has primary responsibilities for project management and data analytics to illustrate effectiveness of Benefits and engagement strategies and cost – as well as management of financial wellness platforms and Business Partners.
Essential Responsibilities
- Create annual Benefits budget and complete monthly variance analyses
- Own and execute processing of benefits Business Partner invoicing and reconciliation
- Report on and track accruals related to benefits cost center
- Develop budget and other financial dashboard reports and conduct ad-hoc reporting on Crewmember behavior and health care utilization
- Act as project manager for moderate to complex Benefits projects involving internal and external stakeholders
- Provide reporting and insights for use by Total Rewards and People Leadership
- Provide actionable insights based on detailed data analysis
- Prepares ad hoc analyses and presentations for external conferences and internal leadership announcements
- Work closely with wellness, retirement and leave management work groups to measure success
- Leverage best practices in behavior change to influence communications strategy
- Mentor and assists Benefits Analysts with reporting work
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
- Three (3) years of analytical and practical experience in Benefits/Group Insurance
- In-depth understanding of employer group insurance offerings and self-funded benefit plans
- Experience preparing presentations for, and presenting to leadership
- Extensive Microsoft Excel experience and proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
- Candidates must demonstrate Excel skills in a work sample assessment
- Advanced analytical skills
- Available for occasional overnight (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug testÂ
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Four (4) years of benefits consulting experience with a major consulting firm strongly preferred
- Five (5) years of analytical and practical experience in Benefits/Group Insurance
- Self-funded benefit plans underwriting and/or actuarial work
- FP&A or HR data analysis
- Experience working with unionized groups and/or understanding of complying with a Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Proficient with Human Resource Information Systems, particularly SAP
- Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Identify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $66,000.00 and $103,100 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
