High-Level Project Summary/Intro:
Dev Technology Group is looking for an experienced Business Analyst/Requirements Lead to support both Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and new development efforts for a federal government client. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the application of methodologies related to software lifecycle management and agile software development. This is a great opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that provide clear value to end users and our federal government clients.
What You'll Be Doing:
The Business Analyst/Requirements Lead shall ensure that the acceptance criteria are understood by the development team and serve as a liaison to the program’s Business Requirements team.
Business Analyst responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with the government business owners to define and document business requirements in user stories
- Conveying government business owner requirements to the team (including documentation, prioritization, clarification) for analysis, estimate, development, testing, and implementation
- Managing creation and maintenance of program service level agreements, team processing agreements, working agreements, and other associated agile documentation
- Ensuring technical documents and processes are successfully completed, updated, and stored (i.e., logical design diagrams, control agreements, etc.)
- Overseeing the successful operation of Scrum teams and Kanban activities across the program
- Completing meeting minutes for technical meetings and storing minutes and other agile documentation on appropriate documentation tools
- Assisting the Contract PM and Government ITPMs with documenting, assigning, and closing action items
- Documenting business processes flows and technical workflows
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree with eight (8) or more years of relevant business analyst
- experience in an enterprise software development environment, including experience in the application of methodologies related to software lifecycle management and agile
- Agile development experience to include requirements definition via user story creation, facilitation of agile ceremonies, and knowledge of processes and procedures for continuous improvement and maturity
- Five (5) or more years of relevant experience using Jira to manage workloads utilizing Scrum and Kanban methodologies
- Ability to explain business requirements to developers and testers for implementation in releases
- Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical, management-level government officials
- Ability to work in a demanding and deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent active listening skills
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification issued by Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Prior experience with the SEVIS application or in a related function such as PDSO/DSO or RO/ARO
- Understanding of Federal governing regulations for F, M and J nonimmigrants
