The Sr Financial Analyst – Cloud plays a central role in planning, forecasting, reporting, and accounting for Cloud costs, one of the fastest-growing and most strategically important investment categories in our Technology portfolio. This role sits within Technology Finance & Strategy, provides direct support to the Cloud FinOps team, and partners cross-functionally with IT, Business, Product, and Finance teams to ensure accurate, timely financial insights drive decisions at every level and help shape the strategic direction and continued evolution of cloud investment across the enterprise.
This is a data-rich role where questions are often open-ended and the path to an answer is not always obvious. The right candidate enjoys working through complex datasets, building scalable models and pipelines, and turning ambiguity into clear, actionable insights, while maintaining the rigor and accuracy required for month-end close.

Key Responsibilities:
- 40% Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting - Lead the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly financial reports. Utilize advanced financial modeling techniques to create detailed forecasts and provide variance analysis to explain key financial trends. Deliver clear, comprehensive reporting to senior leadership, highlighting critical insights and potential risks. Support month end close processes.
- 30% Preparing and Delivering Insights - Develop and present financial analysis both visually and verbally to business leaders. Address projects and strategies, and answer questions through the lens of strong financial controllership. Provide actionable recommendations through a solid understanding of business operations and financial impacts resulting from decisions.
- 20% Cross-Functional Collaboration - Sr. Financial Analysts work closely with business leaders up to and including VPs to understand their business operations. They may also partner with stakeholders across finance and accounting operations to develop strong line of sight to financial inputs and outputs so that business and financial stories can be explained.
- 10% Project Based Analysis - Conduct detailed analyses for purposes of investment initiatives and capital allocation. Complete financial modeling to project “what if” scenarios, and explain underlying causes of possible metric variations.

- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years in Finance, Financial Analytics, Technology Finance, FinOps, or a similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Economics, or equivalent
- Familiarity with cloud billing and usage-based cost models; GCP and FinOps experience a plus
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with complex data pipelines; Google BigQuery preferred
- Superior Excel skills with experience building complex financial models
- Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy and quality controls
- Experience supporting month-end close, including accruals, reclasses, or chargebacks
- Ability to work through ambiguous problems and translate large datasets into clear, actionable recommendations
- Strong communicator with the ability to present complex data visually and partner effectively across all levels
