The Need

Our P&C Insurance client has an immediate need for an Actuarial Data Analyst who will drive data-driven insights to support actuarial processes in the property and casualty insurance sector. You will serve as a key contributor, leveraging analytical expertise to enhance pricing, reserving, and risk management strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • You will extract, transform, and analyze large datasets related to a range of insurance needs, including claims, underwriting, and more.
  • Ensure data integrity through quality control measures and validation of data sources used in actuarial analyses.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data quality and processes and recommend data-driven improvements.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in SQL coding for data extraction and handling
  • Property and casualty insurance data experience required.
  • Understanding of actuarial or other complex P&C data strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, seek learning opportunities, and escalate when necessary.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
