The Need
Our P&C Insurance client has an immediate need for an Actuarial Data Analyst who will drive data-driven insights to support actuarial processes in the property and casualty insurance sector. You will serve as a key contributor, leveraging analytical expertise to enhance pricing, reserving, and risk management strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What You Will Be Doing:
- You will extract, transform, and analyze large datasets related to a range of insurance needs, including claims, underwriting, and more.
- Ensure data integrity through quality control measures and validation of data sources used in actuarial analyses.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data quality and processes and recommend data-driven improvements.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in SQL coding for data extraction and handling
- Property and casualty insurance data experience required.
- Understanding of actuarial or other complex P&C data strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, seek learning opportunities, and escalate when necessary.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
