Position Summary The Business Analyst, Default Services supports operational and strategic initiatives by analyzing data, identifying trends, and recommending process improvements across repossession, total loss, insurance, and recovery functions. This role works closely with department leaders to assess business needs, develop reporting tools, and ensure data-driven decision-making. The Business Analyst contributes to the development and maintenance of dashboards, documentation of procedures, and execution of special projects, helping to improve efficiency and compliance within Default Services.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau and Excel.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to gather requirements and support the implementation of process enhancements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and produce regular performance reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Document business processes, technical specifications, and procedural updates to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Support special projects and assist in troubleshooting operational issues to maintain workflow continuity.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance service levels and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all reporting and analysis activities comply with company policies and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in business analysis, reporting, or operations support, with demonstrated ability to interpret data, generate insights, and contribute to process improvements.

Education

  • High School Diploma / GED required

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Tableau or similar visualization tools preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Overtime required – N/A
  • Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
  • Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX

Qualifications Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in collections, call center operations, or default servicing.
  • Proficiency in Tableau dashboard development and data visualization techniques.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and operational workflows within the financial services industry.
  • Experience in project management or process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or LEAN.

Work Schedule: This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
