What will the work look like for me?

We are currently seeking a Business Process Analyst to join the Personnel Department. In this role, you will play a critical part in modernizing and improving operational efficiency across all Personnel functions by identifying automation opportunities, enhancing data visibility, and supporting digital transformation initiatives. The Business Process Analyst will help design and implement solutions within Personnel where appropriate and collaborate closely with IT to ensure more complex needs are developed, governed, and delivered through the correct channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders and end users (HR Business Partners, HR Generalists, and IT) to analyze, map, and document current processes, to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Partner with stakeholders and end users to ensure alignment between process improvements and system functionality.
  • Design, implement, document, and maintain solutions that:
    • Leverage the Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents) to reduce manual work and improve data accuracy.
    • Utilize Microsoft Power BI to enhance real-time insights, improve reporting accuracy, and enable data-driven decision-making across the department and cross-functional teams.
  • Investigate and pilot Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven capabilities (e.g., Copilot, generative AI tools, predictive analytics) to optimize processes, increase clarity, and improve employee experience.
  • Support change management efforts by creating documentation, training materials, and communications for new process updates or system enhancements.

Where is this opportunity located?

Position has opportunity to work from a United States based home office. This position is open to candidates eligible to work in the United States. Strong preference given to candidates within a commutable driving distance to our corporate facility in Brookings, SD.

What are the pay and perks?

The typical hiring range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 annually based on the location of Sioux Falls, SD. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.

Qualifications

To be considered for Business Process Analyst, we require the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience analyzing business processes, mapping workflows, and supporting process improvement initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.) and Power BI with the ability to design and support data-driven and automated solutions.
  • Ability to learn and apply emerging AI tools to improve internal processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders across Personnel, IT, and cross functional teams.
  • The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment. This requirement will be verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
