The Role:

As the Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for C&S Chemicals. This position works closely with the FP&A Manager and other stakeholders to develop financial insights, evaluate business performance, and identify improvement opportunities. The Financial Analyst will assist in creating and refining reporting tools, building financial models, and ensuring accurate, timely delivery of financial information to support strategic decision-making. Your responsibilities will include:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Forecasting

  • Prepare and maintain regular financial and operational reports for management review, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timely delivery.
  • Partner with business units to support the budgeting process, providing analysis, commentary, and recommendations to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Assist in developing and refining company-wide forecasting models to reflect evolving business needs.
  • Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual variances, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for performance improvement.

Data Analysis & Business Insights

  • Compile and interpret large datasets from multiple sources to produce meaningful analyses for leadership.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards/reporting tools, leveraging business intelligence platforms such as Power BI.
  • Analyze customer, product, and regional performance to provide actionable insights for growth and efficiency.
  • Assist in data migration and structuring for financial systems, ensuring proper categorization and reporting functionality.

Process Improvement & System Support

  • Identify opportunities for streamlining financial planning processes and reporting workflows.
  • Support the development of standardized tools, templates, and documentation for recurring reports and analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system enhancements meet reporting and analysis needs.
  • Participate in system implementation or upgrade projects, focusing on financial data integration and testing.

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives

  • Assist in evaluating new business opportunities and strategic investments, preparing financial models and scenario analyses.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis requests from leadership to address urgent business questions or opportunities.
  • Contribute to ongoing strategic projects that align with company growth objectives.

Who You Are:

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • 2-6 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI and SQL a plus.
