Job Description
We are partnering with a rapidly growing, acquisition-driven professional services organization to hire a Financial Analyst (12-Month Contract). This role is focused on bringing structure and visibility to IT-related expenses across a multi-location network, supporting disciplined expense management, and ensuring accuracy across financial systems.
This opportunity is well suited for an analytical finance professional who enjoys working with detailed data, reconciling invoices, and building clarity out of complexity. The role offers exposure to Corporate FP&A within a hybrid work model in the Greater Toronto Area and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a high-impact cost visibility initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and consolidate IT-related expenses across corporate and location-level operations to improve cost visibility
- Reconcile invoices against ERP coding and supporting documentation to ensure accurate expense recording
- Partner with Accounting and Accounts Payable to investigate discrepancies and validate vendor charges
- Identify overlapping or duplicated service contracts, licensing costs, and infrastructure expenses
- Utilize Excel and Power BI to extract, organize, and summarize financial data into structured reporting outputs
- Support recurring reporting requirements related to IT spend and expense tracking initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation of reconciliation findings and cost analysis summaries
- Contribute to the development of improved tracking methods and workflow enhancements for expense management
What We’re Looking For
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 2–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar analytical role
- Experience with invoice reconciliation, expense management, or Accounts Payable processes preferred
- Exposure to ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics Business Central considered an asset
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with large datasets
- Familiarity with Power BI for reviewing financial actuals and reporting outputs
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Effective communicator who works well with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with Octacom or similar financial systems is considered an asset
