The Financial Analyst will support the Finance team in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), reporting, and operational finance initiatives. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this role will assist in maintaining financial models, preparing management reports, and analyzing business performance across multiple operating entities.
This position will also support the financial integration of newly acquired businesses into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and contribute to improving financial processes and reporting accuracy.
In addition, this role will support Revenue Operations (RevOps) by helping manage and analyze CRM-driven revenue data, ensuring alignment between sales performance, pipeline tracking, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Assist in maintaining financial models used for forecasting, budgeting, and business planning.
- Perform variance analysis through monthly financial reporting packages, providing insights into financial performance and key drivers.
- Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) balances and analyze conversion into Accounts Receivable and cash to support working capital management and revenue realization.
- Support the preparation of financial forecasts and the annual budgeting process.
Financial Integration & Process Optimization:
- Assist with the financial integration of newly acquired businesses into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Support the setup and maintenance of financial reporting structures and controls for acquired entities.
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and operational teams to support data migration and system alignment.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Assist in post-integration financial processes for newly integrated entities, including supporting reporting alignment and financial data consistency.
Board & Executive Reporting:
- Assist in preparing financial reports, KPIs, board reports, and dashboards for executive leadership
- Support financial and operational performance analysis to help inform strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation and compilation of management reports and board presentation materials.
Revenue Operations & CRM Strategy
- Support the management and optimization of CRM data (e.g., pipeline, bookings, revenue tracking) from a finance perspective.
- Partner with Sales and Operations teams to ensure consistency between CRM data and financial reporting.
- Assist in analyzing sales pipelines, conversion rates, and revenue drivers to support forecasting accuracy.
- Help develop and maintain reporting that connects CRM activity to financial outcomes (e.g., revenue, margins, backlog).
Business Partnering & Decision Support:
- Work closely with the Financial Reporting, Sales, and operational teams to support financial analysis and provide insights into business performance.
- Assist in post-integration financial processes for newly integrated entities, including supporting reporting alignment and financial data consistency.
- Analyze financial results and operational data to help identify trends and support recommendations that improve business performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, FP&A, or a similar role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar) is an asset.
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar) to support revenue tracking, pipeline analysis, and reporting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
