Sr. Healthcare Business Systems Analyst - Only MN Locals

📍 Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

⏳ Duration: 6+ Months Contract

🤝 Employment: W-2 / C2C

Position Overview

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst will leverage comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare industry, data repositories, and IT systems to resolve complex issues, automate business processes, and lead the implementation of IT solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in systems analysis and testing, specifically within the Health Insurance Payer space. You will define user stories, elicit detailed requirements, and bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical scrum teams.

🛠️ Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements & Analysis (30%): Elicit high-level and functional requirements; build complete user stories with clear "Definition of Done."

Data Profiling: Utilize SQL to perform data analysis, issue resolution, and data profiling for complex projects.

Feature Delivery (30%): Work with Scrum Masters to keep teams on track; define acceptance criteria to ensure deliverables yield high customer value.

Strategic Communication (20%): Act as the primary liaison between operations, business leads, and IT; manage escalations and conflict resolution.

Business Process Improvement (20%): Conduct gap analysis, identify technical and operational improvements, and support the creation of test plans and scenarios.

🎯 Skills & Qualifications

Healthcare Expertise: Must have Health Insurance Payer experience (specifically Sales and Broker domains).

  • Technical Savvy: Proficiency in SQL queries for data analysis is required.
  • Agile Mastery: Proven experience working within SAFe/Agile Scrum teams.
  • Testing: Strong background in supporting test plans, scenarios, and post-implementation validation.
  • Visual Documentation: Ability to produce flow-charts, swim-lanes, SIPOCs, and feasibility studies.
  • Bonus: Experience with Salesforce is highly preferred.
