Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst / Company: The Mayfair Group / Location: Remote

Number of Hours per Month: 10-15

Job Summary: As a Senior Financial Analyst at our company, you will play a crucial role in the financial planning and analysis of our business. Your main responsibility will be to support and lead the month-end process, analyze financial data, and provide recommendations to management on how to improve the company's financial performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, and operations to gather insights that will drive business growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for financial excellence to contribute to the growth of a purpose-driven, omnichannel retail brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare month end deliverables such as revenue recognition, inventory recognition and reconciliations, and the overall P&L completeness.
  • Collaborate with the external Accounting team, and other cross-functional groups to suggest and enhance month end processes.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the company's financial health and performance.
  • Analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitive landscape to provide recommendations for strategic financial planning.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend strategies for risk mitigation to safeguard the company's financial stability.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CPA) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in financial analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of financial software and systems (e.g. Quickbooks), and retail relevant systems (e.g, Shopify, Third Party Logistic providers).
  • Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expertise in budgeting and accurate forecasting.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in omni-channel retail.
