Position Summary: The Business Analyst (BA) role is a cross-functional, developmental position that serves as the entry point of our organization and fills our long-term talent development pipeline. In this role, the BA will have responsibilities that cross sales, e-commerce, and operations and is designed to develop future leaders and specialists across the organization. This role is intentionally structured for individuals eager to learn foundational retail business skills and prepare individuals to grow into key roles across functions over time. The first 90 days are designed as a development focused onboarding experience intended to build confidence, capability, exposure to organizations Mission, Vision, & Values, Model, and create a foundational understanding of the business. During this period, the Business Analyst will:

  • Learn TASC fundamentals, including systems, processes, customers, and retail dynamics.
  • Support eCommerce, Operations, Marketing, and Sales through hands-on work.
  • Develop core analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Receive hands-on coaching, focused training, and regular feedback.
  • Establish strong working habits and ownership of responsibilities.

Successful onboarding prepares the Business Analyst to fully engage in the leadership development program.

Business Analyst Development Program: Following onboarding, the Business Analyst continues in a structured development program designed to build well-rounded business acumen and prepare individuals for future roles across the organization while supporting specific core functions within the organization. The program includes:

  • Progressive exposure to Sales, eCommerce, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Increasing responsibility across analysis, execution, and reporting.
  • Real-world project work and project leadership supporting internal teams, clients, and retail partners.

This role is designed as a launching pad into future opportunities across sales, category management, operations, analytics, marketing, and retail strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage SKU, vendor, and item data across retail and internal systems, including new item setup, new vendor setup, and ongoing updates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Build, distribute, and maintain reports, dashboards, trackers, and performance summaries (both automated and manual) to support business decision-making and stakeholder communication.
  • Track promotions, manage deduction research and resolution, and support retail and eCommerce execution through store and shelf audits and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and eCommerce teams, including forecasting discussions and analysis of performance versus projections.
  • Assist with samples, advertising placement tracking, and in-store activations to support marketing and sales initiatives. Execute seasonal and line review store audits – pre & post with summaries.
  • Execute and maintain in-store and online quality merchandising including campaign and content.

Reporting & Development

  • Reports directly to the VP, L&D
  • Receives ongoing coaching, training, and structured feedback\

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business is preferred - Marketing, Analytics, and/or related fields.
  • Relevant experience in retail industry supporting suppliers is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products including- Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Co-pilot.
  • Comfortable working with data and analytical reporting.
  • Basic usage of AI tools (generative AI or analytics assistants) in practical, everyday work settings to support analysis, research, and productivity.
  • Effective communication skills, presentation skills, and ablity to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work  both onsite in the TASC office and remotely with flexibility based on requirements and business needs. 
  • Limited travel to support business including: client meetings, retailer HQ/store visits, industry events, and periodic visits to other company sites up to 35% of the time.
