The Role:
The Business Analyst supports an enterprise platform modernization initiative by enabling staff adoption of a new digital platform and transitioning the organization from its current state to an optimized future state. This includes changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles, and organizational structures. The BA leads business requirements from elicitation through testing, ensuring full end-to-end traceability.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Elicit, document, and manage business requirements throughout the lifecycle, producing BRDs, User Stories, Use Cases, business rules, mock-ups, workflow diagrams, swim lanes, and maintained traceability documentation.
- Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes; identify opportunities to optimize and standardize services and leverage native Dynamics CRM capabilities, producing process documentation and improvement recommendations.
- Develop business process models, workflows, mock-ups, and swim lanes, and facilitate requirements elicitation and process modeling workshops, with outputs captured in project documentation.
- Identify and map data for migration from existing systems to Dynamics CRM, including data transformation rules and migration documentation.
- Develop, execute, and validate test cases to confirm delivered releases meet business requirements, producing test plans, test suites, execution results, and summary reports.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders, developers, and QA by clarifying requirements, validating completed User Stories, and maintaining updates, scope changes, and validation in Azure DevOps.
- Participate in change impact analysis and change control activities, producing impact assessments and change documentation.
- Follow the established BA approach to define, optimize, and standardize business processes, systems, technology, and information entities, and recommend improvements as required.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5+ years’ experience (within the past 10 years) as a Business Analyst drafting business requirements for IT solutions.
- Experience drafting business process models and workflows on 2+ non-overlapping projects completed within the past 6 years, with each project having a minimum duration of 3 months.
- Experience working on 3+ IM/IT transformation projects, each with a minimum duration of 6 consecutive months, where each project impacts both technology and business processes and includes the following experience:
- Managing the full business requirements lifecycle, including elicitation, analysis, prioritization, change assessment, testing, monitoring, maintenance, and full requirements traceability.
- Drafting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for CRM implementations, with emphasis on Microsoft Dynamics projects or equivalent CRM platforms, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, workflow definition, data mapping, validation, and full lifecycle management.
- Assessing Change Request Forms (CRFs) within an IM/IT environment, including impact analysis on current solutions and future planned deployments, documenting impacts, coordinating with stakeholders, supporting approvals, and ensuring alignment with planned initiatives.
- Using Azure DevOps to support requirements tracking, project management, version control, testing, release management, and CI/CD activities, including work across Azure DevOps modules such as Boards, Repos, Pipelines, and Test Plans.
